These First Grade April Centers BUNDLED are packed with hands-on, interactive, and engaging Math and Literacy activities! Each Math and Literacy center activity includes:

Here are some brief descriptions of the activities included:

LITERACY CENTERS:
• Umbrella Endings- Find the ending blends to different words/pictures.
• R-Controlled Mystery Picture- Match r-controlled vowel words to pictures to reveal a mystery picture. (2 different mystery pictures are included)
• Tweeting Past or Present- Find the past and present tense of a given verb.
• Calling Secret Words- Match words to the correct pictures and reveal secret codes.
• Make it Complete- Read different sentences and build a puzzle to determine the scrambled word in the sentence.
• Swatting Vowel Teams- Match different vowel teams to the correct pictures.
• Leaping Synonyms and Antonyms- Sort words by whether they are synonyms or antonyms
• Blooming Diphthongs- Sort pictures/words by their diphthong.
• Crawling to ABC Order- Put words/pictures in alphabetical order. (2 levels included)
• Flying Vowels- Place words on kites with the correct vowel sound.
• Sentence Unscramble- Put words in the correct order to make a complete sentence.

MATH CENTERS:
• Butterfly Catcher- Play a game where they solve different addition and subtraction equations while trying to collect the most butterflies.
• Time Puzzles- Build different puzzles by matching clocks to the correct time to the hour, time to the half hour, and time to the hour and half hour.
• Birdhouse Rules- Determine new numbers by using the given rules.
• Growing Flowers- Measure, fill in data, fill in a graph, and order pictures by their height all in one activity.
• Raining Coins- A game where students try to get the highest value to win!
• Balanced Butterflies- Find numbers shown in different ways on both sides of the butterfly to make it equal and balanced.
• Duck, Duck, Duck, SUM!- Use a key to spell CVC words and to create a 3 addend addition equation.
• Catch and Compare- Play a game where they compare pictures that have different values.
• Puddles of Ten More and Ten Less- Play a game where they show numbers that are ten more or ten less and try to cover four in a row.
• Buzzing for the Numbers- Determine the missing numbers on different 120 charts.
• Magnifying Place Value- Build and show a number in a variety of ways.
• Blooming Fractions- Match partly colored circles to the correct fractions.
• Crawling Double Digit Addition- Find the sum to different double digit equations.
