When we think of a kindergarten summer review packet, it’s not uncommon to think of a set of activities to send home with students over the summer. As the year comes to an end, you can almost feel the excitement in the air! Students are looking forward to going on vacations, spending time with family, and enjoying time away from school. With so much on your students’ minds, it can be difficult to get them to think about reading and math!
Embracing your students’ excitement for summer can actually help them stay on track. A kindergarten review packet can be filled with summer-themed skill practice, which adds a bit of seasonal fun to your daily academic activities. It’s always amazing to see how this small change can make such a difference! For example, your students will love practicing rhyming words by coloring ice cream scoops or coloring sunglasses during math practice.
