A Dream Come True!!

Hi everyone! My post today is not necessarily about teaching, however, I wanted to share with you the most amazing, wonderful, shocking, fun, and crazy experience I had this week! 

I am a HUGE fan of the Ellen Degeneres show. Who isn’t right?!?! I watch her show everyday and remind my husband daily about how it is on my bucket list to get to one day see her show. Well, he went on her website to try to reserve tickets and he came across an application for a deserving teacher. He decided to give it a try, not thinking anything would ever happen and he wrote the sweetest letter to Ellen about me. (I had no idea he wrote the letter!)

I was sitting at my apartment with my husband and my phone rang. On the other line was a lady with an accent asking me if I liked the Ellen show. I was so confused! The lady asked me another question and then said… “You are talking to ELLEN DEGENERES!!!!!” 

I immediately went into shock and starting screaming!!! And think I might have blacked out a little!!! She asked me about where I lived and then there were loud knocks at my door. My husband and I ran over to the door to find Andy, Jeannie, and the Ellen camera crew at my apartment!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! I can’t even begin to describe what was going through my mind!! Is this really happening?!?!?!

We had the most fun and amazing time answering questions and playing games with Andy, Jeannie, and talking with Ellen!!

I will never be able to come up with the right words or be able to ever say thank you enough to Ellen and her crew. This is by far the absolute most amazing, wonderful, and fun experience!! We are still in shock and can not believe this happened! She has made a dream of mine come true! I still feel like this is a dream!! I am just so unbelievably and forever grateful for what she has done for my husband and I.
