Let's kick off the new month with some October literacy centers!

What a fun month we have ahead of us, especially for our students!

These new centers for October always add extra excitement. Especially with fall and Halloween on our student's minds!

Here is a peek at some of the October literacy centers included this month! I will be sharing the math centers that go along with these literacy centers soon.

There are 28 math and literacy centers included that are packed with hands-on, interactive, and fun activities.

Each center activity includes an 'I Can' kid friendly poster for student independence and a recording sheet to show their work.

Let's make some FREE crafts with 2D shapes!

These adorable 2D shape crafts will have your students so excited to see what they can make with the different shapes they are learning.

When the 2D shape craft is complete, students will determine how many of each shape they use.

Let’s practice rhyming words! Rhyming words are

Let’s practice rhyming words!

Rhyming words are such a fun skill for students to learn. Once they get an understanding of rhyming words, students are eager to see how many rhyming words they can think of!

This rhyming activity is a hands-on center that has students sorting apples by whether the pictures on the apples rhyme or not.

Students will place the apples on the correct basket to show if they rhyme.

A recording sheet is also included to show their work!

Let's learn about story elements!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears is not only a classroom favorite, but this story is perfect for starting to introduce story elements to your students!

This interactive story elements book allows students to dive deep into understanding who the characters are, the setting, sequencing of events, and main details in the story.

By working on this story elements book, students are also working on their reading comprehension and retelling of the book.

So many skills learned in an adorable story!

One of my favorite ways to round up our learning of a letter from the alphabet is with a letter craft!

Your students will have so much fun making these adorable crafts that they won't even realize all of the benefits they are gaining below:
⭐️ fine motor skills
⭐️ letter recognition
⭐️ following directions
⭐️ letter sounds
⭐️ creativity

You can make the letter crafts by themselves or you can turn the letter crafts into a book where students also practice handwriting the letter they are working on.

There are uppercase and lowercase letter crafts included together or you can grab them separately.

Included are different options to allow you to differentiate and to choose what works best in your classroom.

Let’s practice numbers and graphing with this FR

Let’s practice numbers and graphing with this FREE graphing activity!

Students get to play a graphing game where they fill in a graph to determine their lucky number!

Students will roll a dice, count the dots, and write that number in the correct box on their graph. They continue to do this over and over.

The number that gets filled in the boxes to the star first is their lucky number!

This graphing activity will not only have your students excited about finding their lucky number, but they will also get to practice counting, handwriting, number identification, and more!

Let’s have fun practicing positional words!

Johnny Appleseed is such a fun person to learn about this time of year.

This mini reader has Johnny Appleseed teaching students about positional words by having them place apples in certain place around the apple tree.

The sentences on each page are repetitive with only the positional word changing.

Students will have fun gluing the apples in their books, learning positional words, and reading this mini reader!
